Three Generations of Insurance Agents
Jon Parrack Insurance Agency was founded in 1986 when Jon Parrack II purchased a retiring Nationwide agent's book of business and made Point Pleasant his home. Fresh out of college with a chemistry degree and a brief stint in manufacturing, Jon knew that wasn't his calling. Insurance was. His father had started his own Nationwide agency in Elkins in 1976, and Jon wanted to follow that path—build his own agency, serve his own community.
For over three decades, we served Mason County as a Nationwide agency. In 2020, changes in Nationwide's business model meant we transitioned to becoming an independent agency—and honestly, it's been a blessing in disguise. Today we have access to dozens of carriers instead of one, which means we can truly shop the market and find the best fit for each client's unique situation.
Nearly four decades later, that original 1986 decision has shaped thousands of lives across Mason County, and today Jon's son Jay is preparing to continue what his father built here in Point Pleasant.

Jay serves on Point Pleasant City Council, the City Planning Commission, the City Historical Landmark Commission, the Mason County Development Authority, and as Chairman of the Rivers Health Foundation. We support local athletic teams, the Mason County Fair buyers group, and countless other community initiatives.
We've been here for 39 years, and we plan to be here for generations to come—not just as insurance agents, but as invested partners in making Mason County thrive.
